Title: Fostering entrepreneurship for the bioeconomy
Acronym: FOEBE+
Funding source: Erasmus+
Implementation period: 09/2020 - 09/2026
Target groups: Students enrolled in bioeconomy Master's of PhD programmes
Description:
The FOEBE and FOEBE+ project are Erasmus+ projects that aim to equip bioeconomy students with sustainable entrepreneurial skills to accelerate the European expansion of the bioeconomy sector.
Current entrepreneurship education programmes are not tailored to the needs of the bioeconomy sector, which hampers its development potential. Furthermore, there is a lack of European approach in this regard, despite the bioeconomy being high on the political agenda. The joint development of content at EU level would allow students (i.e. future entrepreneurs) to develop a vision that encompasses all dimensions of the bioeconomy in this context.
It aims to offer a tailor-made study programme to educate broader audience of bioeconomy entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs and accompany them on their entrepreneurial journey.
The FOEBE+ programme consists of 8 modules:
- Introduction to the bioeconomy
- Accelerated entrepreneurship
- Design thinking, creativity and innovative products
- Knowledge management and intellectual property rights
- Business management and finance
- Leadership and realisation
- Commercialisation
- Digitalisation and bioeconomy
