Description:

The EUSDR (EU Strategy for the Danube Region) commissioned a study, implemented by Steinbeis Europa Zentrum (Germany) together with its subcontractors, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Slovenia and the Pannon Business Network (Hungary), to identify 30 "Lighthouse Projects" across three key sectors: (1) Green Tech/Circular Economy, (2) Digitalization/AI, (3) Supply Chains/Finance, in the Danube Region to showcase innovative best practices, boost competitiveness, and foster cross-sectoral exchange. Ten lighthouse projects were selected in each sector.

The study was published in late 2025 to highlight these practical, impactful initiatives. This will help to spread their impact and encourage cooperation and exchange across the Danube Region. Furthermore, this study aims to contribute to building innovative ecosystems in the Danube Region that can better support SMEs, enhancing the competitiveness of enterprises.

The CEE2ACT project is among the selected lighthouse projects in the sector of Green Tech/Circular Economy.
