Description of the tool: 

Decision Support System comprise software and other modelling tools to support soun decision making forest management considering  biogeoclimatic conditions, economic objectives, administrative and social constrains or other factors influencing the management of forest stand and outcomes resulting from the managerial decisions. There are numerous licensed  or open-source options available, such as BWINPro, SIMANFOR, FORMIND, i-TREE.

Target groups: Actors involved in forest management, private sector

Accessibility: Some softwares are open, some are licensed
