Title of the project: Biobased and social innovation to revitalise European local communities
Acronym: BioRural
Funding source: Horizon Europe
Implementation period: 2022 - 2025
Description:
BioRural aspires to create a pan-European Rural Bioeconomy Network under which related stakeholders will cooperate to promote the currently available small-scale bio-based solutions in rural areas to increase the share of bioeconomy, giving increased value in such remote areas. To this purpose, BioRural has identified the following “success stories” (covering all bioeconomy themes) coming from all 4 geographic quartiles in Europe in which the BioRural consortium operates.
BioRural Toolkit is an online repository of bio-based solutions that enables the interaction between rural actors and provides the ground for wider application of bio-based solutions in rural areas allowing the transitions of rural areas from linear economy to circular bio-based economy.
Target groups: All bioeconomy stakeholders
Accessibility: Material is open but still under development
