Description:

CzecHemp was founded in 2018. The main idea of the cluster is to strengthen the cooperation between relevant actors and increase know-how of the Czech cannabis and medical cannabis industry. The purpose of the cluster is to improve the conditions for the development of the hemp industry in the Czech Republic through cooperation between companies, the public sector, research and education in the entire value chain of cultivation, processing and use of technical and medicinal hemp, including related production, research and development, technology and services in the supply and customer sphere.

Results:

Long-term efforts to promote meaningful regulation of cannabis; focus on the Czech government and relevant ministries and parliament to actively support the process of preparing the necessary legislative changes: prohibition is not the solution. The recommendation is that rational regulation means better control of the demand for cannabis, including the associated risks, and replacing criminal repression with more cost-effective control of the legal market.
